Also a special mention to the rare Clairtone posted above (sorry the names of the posters/model numbers never stick with me until I've read it a few times)

This is the first time I've seen this thread and what surprised me most of all (in a nice way) is the proportion of fantastic looking 3-piece BB's.

Geez I posted but never put pics up🤔 what the heck..... I've had tons of heavy hitters over the years but have cut back 😞. But I still have a few 😆

Killer collection SLO!! That 975 & C-100 are both on the 'must have' short list...
The Fisher 490 is a 40lb+ bookshelf system on batteries...they're the DeathStar of 3-piecers....

The black MX-9 looks pretty interesting....how's the sound?,
Thanks homeboy! Yes when I took the 490 to the streets of L.A. it was LOUUUD, the sound just bounced off all the high buildings like crazy.

The MX-9 has a bad right speaker so I've never heard the full effect of it. :-/ It sounds good with the balance all the way to the left, so I would imagine its a pretty cool sounding box when fully functional. Chris tried to troubleshoot the problem, but no luck. Eventually I'll take it to my tech in L.A. and see if he can resurrect it :-D

My HK-9000 & my CONION C-100F

. Pulling up an old post. What speakers were used as replacements? I have this unit as well. Fine working condition. But I like the no grill look. I got it, as I coNtinued to read thread. ..... (MB Quart speakers with the crossovers inside each cabinet. Very loud and clear!!)
