I'm guessing that could be possible. That amounts to $190 dollars today but that still sounds a little cheap even for 1972. Heck portable radios were selling for 2, 3, and over 4 hundred dollars by late 70's.

Maybe that was the UPS shipping cost from Illinois to Wisconsin.
