I've searched the best I know how, but i can't find the sizes for this radio anywhere.

Any of you know them?

I see a guy on eBay selling a kit for $30+ shipping. Curious if that's a decent price over buying belts myself.

Hi, I've replaced belts and forgot to put that info on files. Please see the sizes below. This is what I remember- The flat belt was 10.10" but the other square belts were different. If you have assorted square belts that will come handy. Small flat belt 10.10" should be fine! ~ Royce

So BbL48, you're saying the 3 smaller belts aren't correct in the catalog?
Trippy, the guy selling the kit has the same sizes as the catalog so those might not work.

I wouldn't buy from them, they have one of the worst ratings I've ever seen there. Overpriced, and not in original PRB packaging, so they may be knockoffs.

Consider buying from Marvac, they have all the sizes you need, on ebay and directly from their own site, and they're the same price both places.
I'd get them from their site. Buying them piecemeal from ebay would cost $16 ($4x4) in shipping - I'm sure it will cost less than that to ship from their site.
I'll give you links to both and you can decide.

Capstan: FRW10.1 (ebay) (Marvac.com) $5
FastFwd: SCY3.5 (ebay) (Marvac.com) $4
Rewind: SCY4.2 (ebay) (Marvac.com) $4
Counter: SCY5.2 (ebay) (Marvac.com) $4

I noticed that seller you were looking at claims the set will fit the 5150, 5250 and 5350, but the 5250 counter belt is only 4.6" instead of 5.2" like the 5150 and 5350, when looking at the sizes listed in the PRB belt reference document
I have no idea if that's an error, and if it is, which one is correct, so if you want to get both sizes just in case, here's the link to the 4.6" one:

SCY4.6 (ebay) (Marvac.com) $4

I've been buying almost exclusively from Marvac for the last few years.
They ship fast and I've never had a problem with any of their belts.

I just started working on my 5350 and was going to use the PRB sizes until I saw this thread.
Earlier this evening, I took the cassette player out and found it still had the three belts installed (it didn't have a counter belt).
I ran it with my power supply and every thing was turning but one belt seemed a bit loose (the 4-5/8" belt).
I ended up cutting them all off and measuring them and here's those lengths:
4-5/8".......3-7/8".......8-1/8".......and no counter belt

After that, I used my heavy waxed string to measure each path (which, of course, was a pita) and got these measurements:
5"..............4-1/8"......11-1/4"......and 5-3/4" for the counter

The recommended belts sizes are:
4.2..............3.5..........10.1..........and 5.2 for the counter

It looks like the 10.1 might be too small.

Tinman!!!! Thanks for getting in there and doing the labor homework!!! Impressed with everyone in the thread.

I'm confused though, the flat belt you cut off was 8 1/8", but with the string it measured 11 1/4"???? It must have been a really tight belt then? Is that correct? Yikes!

Yeah, I'm guessing someone just put the closest belt they had on there but it was way too small.
I'm thinking about getting an FRW10.7.
Those are .210" wide instead of the FRW10.1 which are .120".
I'm going to go over it again today and decide what sizes I want.
I have another box that I'm going to work on after this and have to figure out those belts too so I can order everything together.

Wow, sounds like it coulda broke something being that much smaller.

I've cleaned up a lot of my radios since I started collecting, but often neglected getting belts. I want to go through the ones I skipped over and start getting them.

Ok, I took the player apart and measured the width of the motor bulge where the flat belt runs and it's .199" so the FRW10.7 I referred to would be too wide.
I just ordered my belts, hopefully they work:
FRX10.7 which is .155" wide
SCY3.5
SCY4.2
SCY5.2 - counter
Plus I also ordered two more for my next box project.

I ordered them on ebay which came out to $.30 more than their website with the estimated shipping.
I figure ordering through ebay includes insurance since if they're damaged or don't show up, I can file a claim and recoup my money.

Whenever you get a chance, can you please let me know where the small gray wire goes?
I'm assuming the yellow one goes to the switch with the other yellow wire but I'm not sure where that gray one goes.
It's possible that it also goes to the switch but I'd appreciate you letting me know.

This screw is stripped so I have to come up with something to hold both plates down.
Most likely the same guy who stripped the screw put that short belt on it.

I don't know if you've taken yours out yet but here's a shot of mine somewhat broken down.
It's greasy, oily and dirty but not bad to actually work on.

I haven't taken mine apart yet... BUT.... I bought a spare deck for parts, haven't touched it yet, I'll see if the wires are all intact and if so, I'll post some pictures.

Got it! One of my yellow wires is off too but the way its bent it looks really clear it solders to the other yellow wire, and the gray wire is on the right side solder joint of the same part.

Ok, that makes since, thanks.
One of my motor wires broke off and the wires on my solenoid look like they're ready to go too.
At this point, after I remove the heads, I'm probably going to remove the remaining wires.
I'll clean the whole deck, grease it and solder the wires back on to make sure they're solid.
By the time I get the belts, I'll have it ready for them to go on.

round 1.2mm X 55mm,
round 1.2mm X 45mm
counter 1,2mm X 60mm"
