got my first crash course in boombox repair last night courtesy of Bill & Ramon and at the end of the night when I pushed the power button and saw lights! ahhhhhhhh, felt like a kid again I was checking on it throughout the night, pushing the power on and off every so often

That's why I would never want a black Lasonic or any black box shipped without transformer removal. Or like David did with my Discolite taping and bubble wrap over transformer holding it in place. I suggest this to any member dealing with these units shipped as precautionary measure

I'm doing experiments DJBREZY with molding silicone parts to replace the handle slides and some cracked pylons. I'm all thumbs and it's pretty tricky but I am gaining proficiency. Photos are forthcoming.DJBREEZY said:How's your 931 coming along?
