Wow!!!!!! Woohoo!!! Awesome work yet again trommel!!!

Only question I have is if these are exactly the same as the 920?

For some reason I thought the gears were slightly different between function and band, due to the band having 4 spots, and function having 3?

Yes its exact the same! 8 teeth....

Usually the 920 uses only 4 teeht when you turn the shaft.....3,5 exact.....the rest of the teeth are definetly not used. Totaly overdefined! Not needed.

The cam is ecaxt the same. But my gearwheel is thausend times better :-) The thickness is 3/10mm more....So we have 3.3mm. Its better cause you have more material which is in intervention. so the rack is more reliable and the force on each tooth is less......so the lifetime could be a little longer......

spectacular design and workmanship -
does this tremendous accomplishment also mean that you can make about ANYTHING
( within the size limits of your mill , etc ?

if 3D printers used delrin - could that same part have been made ?

Dear members and followers.....

i need all your help again.....i got here the switch from Docs and i renewed the gearwheel, but we have a problem which is to solve:

How is the lockfunction realized???????

I got a picture from Trippy where i see a little cylinder inside the cover which seems as it is in intervention with the gearwheel.......

Is there anyone of you who can make a more detailed picture from the little part we missing?

I wonder about it since i get the switch.......

I want to rebuild all missing parts.....So it would be gratefull when we solve this togehter too

Here a picture but is not detailed enough......i can only riddle about.....

The known problem is that a printer doesn't use Delrin as material, only ABS and PLA and i heard from Nylon called Polyamid. Not yet seen.

But the durability isn't the same like brass.......i ever prefer a more durable material.

But this is only my opinion.

And the second question: Not everything is possible, cause the prework on PC i mean the CAD designing is the most intense part of creating.

Im not a professional, but im a very good autodidact and i got many friends which help me.

I see the problem in printing in the layering. Every 3D printer print in layers, only the sintering method is better. But the costs are exploding then.

So its a choice between cost and benefit......Like always.....

Yes as above, my switch had the gear AND the little nodule which makes the switch engage in three locations so needs recreating along with the gear.
The community help here will help many people/boomers with this issue.

Aah my picture! I can't tell you the dimensions, but I can tell you it was a steel part.

Honestly I think if you were to get a needle bearing, you could probably take of of the needles out and cut it to to the right length, if they're the right diameter.

Dear members and followers,

today i find time to fix the little prob with the switch.....Was easy....in my collection i find many shafts with the needed diameter from 2,40mm..... this is no common dimension....but my collection is big :-D

No turning needed.....Only cutting and bending the spring back and the holder for the little cylinder too.....

Measurements: 2,40mm x 3,00mm and now it works like it should. Im very happy to fix this for docs....

In the pictures is shown how it works.....
