Nice collection and display!
I had the same model Sanyo from new (the silver one on top on the right). I left it in the sun at a pool party when I was 16. I got sidetracked by my sisters hot friend!
Anyway, the quality of Sanyo's had dropped since the M9998K days as the tuner window melted and warped from the heat! :-( (like a new style Lasonic). I remember the volume slider was scratchy from new too! Didn't take metal tapes either!

Yep, I always feel a bit like a proud parent when I spot a couple of my old units in the StereoMad collection 
Don't think I have ever seen so many grails in one place in my 9 years of this madness. Hats off to you Lee
