WOW! Those speakers really mesmerize! It would look "okay" or "suitable" with black speakers, but those colors put it over the top! Very professional!

Amazing work! It looks Gi-normous in the photos when its all by itself, but it actually looks like a good manageable size to carry when sitting next to another boombox ;-) I agree with James about the woofers, very sweet!

Wow, thanks for the positive comments guys! It's been great having you guys on board throughout the whole process this time around.

I do feel like the mad scientist sometimes working away in my workshop instead of socialising!! :-)

Here's a size comparison of the V2.0 and V3.0:View attachment 18678

The V3.0 looks tiny! :-)

With the V3.0, I wanted the best of both worlds:

1. More low end bass and clearer highs than the V1.0.
2. Much reduced size and weight for outdoor use than the V2.0
3. For something different, a more 'modern' appearance than my 'vintage' looking builds

With all my crazy measurement changes etc, you won't believe it but by some fluke, the V1.0 and V3.0 boxes have come out exactly the same width (unintentional)! :-)

The V3.0 is taller and deeper than the V1.0 but through the use of some lighter materials here and there, I've kept the weight down to 9.90 kgs which is only slightly heavier than the V1.0s 9.50 kilos.

The speakers do look 'unique'. They tend to reflect what's around them and look different every time you move them. :-)

To my ears, the sound is much like a good quality set of bassy mid sized home speakers. The mids and highs are super clear. The thing that makes this one different is that the big bass only hits when it's supposed to. There is no unwanted low end rumble the whole time like some boxes have. It's hard to describe but the sound is very 'accurate' to the original if you know what I mean.

I'll make a vid tonight but we all know how hard it is to 'show' how something sounds over the net.

Thanks again for the words of encouragement guys, but you know how it is, more work to do!

James.... :-)
