almost an impossible decision --to be sure of the absolute best looking boombox -- right ?? :-)

is it the aiwa 990, or the panny 7700, or 7000 , or sanyo 920 ????????????/
or the toshiba BB16 or the jvc m71 or the nice sharps and lasonics .....
or the big conions or the discolites --
us collectors are so lucky --we are in an awesome world of continuous beauty

then there are so many gorgeous minis --
then there are own 'personal favs'

ooooops --forgot to add the sanyo 720 to the "looker list" :dunce: :-)

anyway --i had seen the grundig # RR-1140 only in pictures -
up till last week --
but --then JVC838 (ralf) brought one all the way from germany to the meet last saturday-

and this one that blasterpunk of germany bought for me just came in :yes: :yes:

later - in our feedback section --i will have some huge thanks and photos of peters
enormous packing job --

but -for now --
i cant wait to show you guys one of the best box designs - EVER !!!

Those Grundigs are nice! I only wish the speakers could be a little bigger.

If i were to name some of the best lookers it would be the gf1000 crown 970 wx1 sanyo 920 jvc pc 55 and of course ira's bombeat 40 :-D

That Grundig has always been on my wish list. That and the SL-2400 which doesn't have the tape, but I'm OK with that since I hardly ever use tape. Sold my RR940 a year or two ago to get one of these but they don't come up often. The only thing that bug me is that, like another member said, the speakers are too small and also those pesky switch tips are so fragile it's almost impossible to find one with a complete set of tips -- like the VZ2000, do complete ones even exist? Worse even, is that the switch tips are part of the switch and not a cap :-O

All that aside, they are real lookers, that's for sure and I really like them. Calling dibs on this one old man. When you get tired of it. Next week, or next month is OK. No hurry. :-D

Also just love the GF-9191 & the Gf-8989II & the?? There are so many but these are so cool!
Also the Toshiba WX-1 & the Aiwa 880! Nice lookers!!
