Well in the 6 months or so that I've been into this hobby I have managed to accumulate lots and lots of Type 1 (Fe) used cassettes, usually given to me or found cheaply at garage sales or thrift shops. They have the usual type of music recorded on them, Eagles Greatest Hits, Bruce Springsteen's Born In The USA, Elton John, etc etc etc, all stuff that I have the original CD or Lp of, all stuff I've heard a million times on FM radio anyway. I reckon many of the members here would be in the same boat.
That poses the question, what to do with a couple of hundred lightly used Type 1 C90's and C60's , TDK, BASF, Maxell, Hitachi's etc?
Now I love radio, I love FM and I love AM (MW). I love radio so much that I am nearly always listening to the radio. So here's what I am proposing, I record a few of my local radio stations, say fill up a complete C90 with one station and swap it 1 for 1 with a tape you have recorded of your local radio station(s). Now to make this worthwhile, I propose a minimum of a 3 cassette swap. I don't really care what sort of a tape it is, I don't care what sort of radio station it is, as long as I can hear the recording you have made. I won't write on the card, it may have the previous recording details on it anyway, and to keep postage down from this side of the world, maybe not send the plastic cases, just the cassette and paperwork?
Expressions of interest are welcome, suggestions to make this work also welcome.
