awesome box i'm suprised it sold for so little considering there's like none of these around and you will see 100 tosh 40's before you will see even one of these , hell i'll take that fisher over a bombeat 40 any day.

Well nobody seems to know how good that box really is. Could be a lame-sounding POS, lol.

But it certainly looks cool.

I think auction said it takes 4 or 6 batteries only, so it's a small box. Defintely not a world beater but IS very classy looking.

I shouldv'e known better than to bid against Reli.  But I bid les than 1/3 of the winning bid so = no-chance.

Actually I have the manual for it. It says 15V, so that is 10 batteries.
It also says "Output Power 6.3W (10% THD)" which isn't very impressive.

10D box? Well if that's the case, then the guy shot himself in the foot. The expectation of a 4 or 6 cell box definitely made me bid a lot lower than I would have.

I liked it for the style and the 'Fisher PH' designation but, I've now scratched it from my 'Want' list.

LOL, so now the dude who won it has relisted it only a week after receiving it, trying to make a profit.

He re-glued the faceplate, and it looks like he sprayed one of the antennas to mask the brown part of it that was there when he got it, but other than that, I doubt he did much. He says the volume slider is still defective, like it was from the beginning.

The Seller, Conion65, used to be a member on S2G but then dropped out and started selling a lot of boomboxes. Unfortunately he mislead many about the condition of the boxes, me included, and had many not so happy buyers. Unfortunately because of eBay's F'd up feedback system of the time very few left negative feedback but a handful of members wrote about their experiences on S2G. I've never met him but from what I've seen, heard, and experienced he's not much of a friend to us just looking to take advantage of us for profit.

Thanks for pointing out who the seller was, I was actually considering bidding on this box but I doubt I will now. :nonono:

I especially like how he hasn't left feedback for the guy who sold it to him, so that nobody would know he bought it only a couple weeks ago. Crafty!

I have done that before when I purchase Walkmans to repair and sell. I put in anywhere from 2hrs to a couple days to clean, rebelt, repair them to sell at small profit. I usually don't leave feedback on one I purchased until after I sell it.
I'm not saying the guy is right or wrong. But there's nothing wrong with buying a non working/partially working unit for profit. Especially if you put the time in to clean and repair ;-)

:agree: and normally I don't have any issue with it since I've done it myself but I have a bad taste in my mouth from this seller already.
