who else has a m9996

who else has a m9996 or the siemens or sears aka unit.
i know mine is really really endearing itself to me and continues to impress me with its sound.
its not a huge box maybe only eighty percent of the size of the m9998,but man does it ever sound good for a smaller one piece boombox.
its loud enough and the sound is really rich.
there is no loudness or stereo wide on mine but that box just sounds great.
no dolby on the tape deck but the deck itself still sounds fantastic.
i mean i do love that m70 i just got its a really cool radio but i just keep going back to this little sanyo over the last week since i got my m70.
i think one of the reasons it must sound so good is they must have closed off the speakers to some extent.
i just played new orders regret on the m70 the m9996 and the pioneer sk95 and the sound of the smaller boombox just was so much more balanced.
does anyone else have one of these. what are your impressions of it

bill --i have the siemens version --its a 220volt with DINs-
and agree with you that the sound is very , very good -

still --its big brother - the 9998 is SO much better

i agree ira the m9998 does sound better. i would still say that its smaller sibling is a fantastic perfomer really impressive given its smaller size.
i really like the sound of this style of sanyo boomboxes.
i wonder if it is the speaker enclosures or something to do with the amp circuit that is giving them there sound.
or is it more than meets the eye

I just got one in the mail...

My deck doesn't work so I've only really listened to the radio. It is pretty dirty, too.

Jury is still out on whether or not I like it.

I've relegated it to pull duty in the garage to listen to minidisks via the Aux-In while I work on the project car. Problem is, the box that was out there was the M90, so I'm kinda spoiled. But, I haven't been out there working in a couple of days/nights.

This will be a big weekend for the 190e. The dash has been completely replaced and I'm wating for one little trim piece to arrive so I can finally put the center console together. But, I'm pullling the seats out, steam cleaning the carpet and hooking up amp, sub and rear speakers this weekend. So, I'll plenty of time to get used to the M9996 in that space. I will let you know what I think over the weekend.

It's really too bad this deck doesn't work. I fear there's more wrong with it than just belts as nothing is making sounds when I press the buttons, and I can't press down on FF. Like maybe it's stuck in FF???

i just love that box. i mean for me it looks super with the green backlight for the tuner dial and styling cues from its bigger brother.
