Wow, the 2 of you obviously don't get the gist of what The Onion does... It's satire - EVERYTHING they do is fake!

The object of that story in particular is to look at it and say, "People are stupid to think that they can get a wild animal for a pet and NOT have anything bad happen to them as a result".
