When you collection evolves.....

I know alot of us start out with clear goals when we begin our colletions.
Mine was to collect mostly grails and boxes I had when i was young.
Mini boxes never interested me at all that is untill i saw these two and had to have them......

Boombox Annonomous....here I come!!

Yeah, I never fancied myself collecting any 3-piece units. That was before I heard how great some of them can sound. Now I have quite a few.

I remember telling Mrs. Fatdog that I only wanted three boomboxes - Sharp GF-777, Conion C-100, and JVC RC-M90. Where the hell did all these other boomboxes come from??

hehe i know what you mean. First i wanted only one oldschool boombox and ocasin came and my friend came acros tec 878rr. Bought it for me and i was happy for like 2 months? then he came with 6 more boxes he had in his basement(mostly sharp's). Now ive got over 50 boxes and need to build more shelfs for them . And theres still more boxes i really want and im sure im gonna get them someday problem is only place for them

but there are many dozens we just come across --and suddenly

Somewhere between thinking it might be nice to own of "representative sampling" of the genre and frantically bidding on every Panasonic boombox listed on eBay, I took a wrong turn.

I was thinking not to collect minis. But they are so cute and dont need a lot of space.... So full throttle on minis too .

I don't know how many boxes I have and love that I'd never have originally considered when I started formulating what I was going to collect, it's these great little surprise-boxes that keep your interest and evolve your taste inbetween the personal grails I find.
