Only 65 miles from my house, a Matuki MS-959 Wheely with original BOX! Located in the same city that I found my Dynast HT-959 Wheely!

Still has original clings over the decals. Everything works and sounds b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l.

I saved it from the black hole of ebay.

GZ was sleeping behind the wheel on this one ;). This was within a 10 minute ride from where I found the Dynasty. And for anyone wondering, these were not prizes won at carnivals but they were for sale in different booths at carnivals. You could just buy them.

Wow, looks mint! And that red mic is pimp!
But carnivals? I guess only the Midwest still has those -- it's been years since I've heard of them. Who was selling old electronics there? They actually let people hawk their stuff there? I thought carnivals were just rides and clowns and stuff like that.

The story went down almost exactly like Ira's gold Conion C100 deal went down. Saw it on epay so close to home. The seller knows he has a gem. I throw out my BEST over the top offer that would land my ass sleeping in the garage for atleast a week. He shoots back with a higher price! Ah man, no! How and when do these grails pop up so close you can pick it up?! Almost never. I took a big gulp and took the deal.

Unfortunatly for me this isn't a garage sale super score for $15 like most of my collection. But, I'm happy to own it ;)

You are gettin carnivals and circuses mixed up sir... A good old Midwest carnival is like an outdoor party/swap meet/ with rides and funnel cakes and corn dogs! 80's carnies were RAD...

GZ, don't worry bud, I won't tell you what I bought it for. All I have to say is that this wasn't a bargain basement deal. The seller was set on letting this auction ride until the end after he did some research on it......

Thanks yo!

This has been an emotional rollercoaster, that's for sure. Thinking I'm not getting it, then getting it, hoping the seller doesn't get cold feet before I get there, having it so mint and nice, and NOW I have vultures swooping in throwing me some SERIOUS cash offers for it.

I've talked to the wife about it already and she backs me 100% even spending the most I have ever bought a boombox. She said, "We have the Dynasty. The first boomer of your collection and got you into collecting. Think of the long journey you have been on with the Dynasty. The Dynasty is the last and ONLY boombox you can not sell. If you can help another member get his "dream" boombox by selling him the Matsuki, do it."

I know it has only been a few days and I am in LOVE with this Matsuki, but it's almost like cheating on the Dynasty with the "new girl" who is hotter and fresh-er . I think this will soon be in another members hands.
