What's your WORSE boombox?

Following up on my other question....

In your great vast collection ...........What is the absolute worse boombox that you've ever owned. Forget price, I don't care if you paid a thousand bucks for it. Forget looks. In other words, if all the boomboxes were otherwise equal, which is the one you would without hesitation: sell, give away, it's so bad that you would throw it away even. OK, I understand that there are quite a lot of crappy boxes out there so you can choose more than one, if you can't decide.

The first one that comes to my mind is the Crown 5100z I think... the one that looks like the Lasonic 931. It's so cheaply built that they should've been cracker jack prizes instead of something you paid for.

Damn for me one of the crappiest is m70. So ugly and boring . I parted with 2 of them without any hesitation. Actually in the hurry . And thats the best part - we have different tastes

I have a Lennox Sound egg that I'm embarrassed to own but to think
of it,has to be my Oritron Boombox I got at goodwill for like 3-4.00.
Just a true weak piece of junk!! No tone or bass settings,just a little
bass boost button that's mostly worthless!!

Interesting how some people are choosing big airy jumbo boxes as their worse. Some of these mentioned bring big big bux (anything over $100 is big bucks IMO, go ahead and call me cheap).

Somewhere between Crown SZ5100 and ESC JC2000 I think. The ESC was the better of the two but still junky and flimsy in my opinion. Now I only like heavy duty quality units. I also hated my i931. I won it in a send away competition and sold it the day after I got it... after being sooooo excited for what felt like an eternity!!

This candle looks a lot like a panasonic . Its got the looks but the sound is just horrible. The quality of the pots and switches are also horrid. A lack of a line in sinks it. I only paid a couple bucks for it but i hate this boxes sound.

+1 I hate those cheap Sonys. Sound about 10x worse than the equivalent Panasonic, look boring as well. Only the upmarket Sony models are worthwhile.

I see those Sony TransSound boxes in the wild....and pass 'em up everytime! I even walked away from the model with the AM stereo tuner........was that stupid? But those boxes just don't do it for me. I had one for a awhile in the 90's and thought it sounded like crap even then!
