What's The Difference Between The Pioneer SK-550's?

Hi everyone-What's the difference between the black and the silver Pioneer SK-550's?

I have them both and it looks like just the color of the grills!

I actually like them both!

Is it multi voltage?
One is in storage and need to dig it out.
I like these,they sound really nice but wish they had a little more bass.
Nice layout & just love the dial light!

Good question, never had the 550's but I do have the 750 and agree with you about the sound.
They have a Hi-Fi sound quality to them that's very smooth and easy to listen to but they are a little bass weak, I'm sure the lack of a loudness circuit is the main problem.

congrats gb ,,me i would have liked one of those but i ended up with the sk31, 2 sk95, and my beloved sk-900 ..at least with the sk-95 the 71 is simular except it has the plain songfinder and the 95 has the 7 skip song selection so i would say it might be as simple as voltage selection or the added sw stations simple stuff like that thats mostly overlooked or just a newer model to include the extra color ....great to hear from you gb....

Hi Don & Ramon-Thanks for your replies.
These are both 2 bands and they both have the same features,model #'s are exactly the same also.

I really like the sound,like Don said,they have a real good quality sound to them and really get quite loud!

I'll have to get my black one out of wherever it is and check if it's something like one being a multi-voltage.
I know the silver one is.

Man-I'd love to get a SK-900 someday!
Those are wicked looking!

I have 3 Pioneers-My beloved CK-5II and my 2 SK-500's.
I like the SK-95 but just not that interested as I have a wish list 0f about 10 boxes I'd like to get in the next 3-4 years.

Right now I can really only afford Goodwill boxes as work is almost non-exsistant during Jan.and Feb.

Still looking for a dial light for my black one.
