Talked to a friend today. Hadn't heard from in a while gonna meet up tomorrow. He says he's got a present for me. A black sharp Boombox. He says it's about three feet wide  eight or none inches tall and six or so inches deep. He said its really big and bulky lol. He also says the tape deck is kind of unique as the two tapes go in side by side. Sounds like a twin cam box. I don't know any that size tho. I am quite anxious to see what this box might be. Any guesses lol stay tuned

Hmmm are they good sounding ?
All I know is that the WQ-T354 I had sounded like crap, but I believe something might have been wrong with it. I couldn't put the volume past 3 without distortion.

Most of the time, these models have rotten foams you cannot directly spot so the distort very quickly...had that too :-/

I did notice that too, Max. The foam around my X-Bass woofer looked like dried Swiss cheese.

Well marco got his wires all crossed up and despite a hour and a half wait he was no place to seen.... This thread will have to wait to be completed. I'm thinking that the box with the surround speakers might be the most likely suspect . :-) more to come. Twincam is was sharp called the twin casette mechanism boxes I think it was around for two or three years

This could be, because in working order, that speaker is KICKING ASS! They just destroy themselves doing it :-/

Hell yes, Floyd has mine and has found a new sub for it.

Yes and that sub kicks ass almost as much as Hans prolly wants to kick my ass for having his box for years lol .
the replacement speaker is as beefy as the original but more powerful and it should hold up to just about anything.

I still have Hans original subwoofer and let me tell you it's no piece of junk it seems a powerful speaker it just the foam is a weakness.

Absolutely but it'll never dip as low as The Replacement sub I put in it bass wise. At the end of the day Hans just wanted a better subwoofer that looked the way he wanted it to look basically it's all down to personal preference.

Also he still has his original sub . I always send back the old Parts of anything I work on.

Cool. I just thought it was easier to repair the rotted surround than try and source a replacement, which on boomboxes with unique requirements (especially size, flange shape, and fastener holes & locations), isn’t always all that easy.
