I've been forum lurking for about a month now and I'm a total boombox newb

I have no boxes at the mo but definately looking forward to learning a bunch and maybe buying a few boxes of my own

Any idea how much a majestic mcr-8570 is worth?

can't find anything on it in forum search at the moment.

Hello & welcome Filthy. If you Kiwis keep joining up you'll outnumber us Aussies.

As for what boxes are worth, that's entirely subjective. You could ask 100 different collectors and get 100 different answers. So best off not asking.

If you find one at the price you want to pay, that's how much it's worth.

Thanks for the replies guys! first boombox arrived yesturday, a sanyo m9930k. Everything works except the tape player, i think it needs a replacement belt. so loud too and for 20usd shipped to my door! - boomboxes are phat.

...already have 3 more on the way; A sanyo m9935k, that majestic mcr-8570 and a newer one which i can't ID but i think it may be a majestic too. Im in too far to go back now haha.

How do you guys ID new boxes from pics online? i've just been using google and this forum but can't seem to find anything on majestic brand and it would be kinda cool to have it ID'd before it arrives - probably should've asked the seller, didn't occur to me at the time.
