What the "F" is wrong with people on eBay (my little rant)

I sold an item on eBay to someone one state away and shipped as quickly as I possibly could yet the DICK HEAD dinged me for shipping time.

I uber packed and double boxed even though I was only making $15 to do it but I always take care of my packages. The buyer ended my auction in the evening and within several hours I had the package ready to ship then early the following morning I dropped it off at the post office. The post office accepted the package at 10:00 A.M. and delivered it almost exactly 2 days later according to the tracking information, thats less than 3 days from end of the auction so WTF??????

Okay I feel better, just had to let that scream out. :-D

I paid $38.50 for shipping on my Lasonic 920 and I finally got it 2 weeks after I paid for it... It was only 2 states away!
Didn't feel it was that big of deal, at least I received the unit..

The buyer gave you negative feedback because your shipping was slow??

What do you mean and how did he ding you?

I had a 4.93 rating for shipping time then after the feedback from this one buyer my rating dropped to 4.87 so it's pretty obvious he gave me 4 stars for shipping time. If he only gives 4 stars for 2 1/2 day shipping what would it take to get five stars? He probably would only give 2 stars if it took a week.

It's not a big deal except that eBay is harsh on sellers if they don't maintain near perfect feedback.

Haha that's all you're worried about? I thought he negged you at first.

What was your shipping charge, compared to how much the shipping actually cost? If you made a profit (you mentioned you made $15), he might have found out, and dinged you for that even if you did ship it quick.

I always under charge on shipping or include it for free because of all the dipshiats that still feel $10 to ship a 20 pound item is overcharging. In this case shipping was free so I sold the Item for $29.95 and shipping cost me $10.85.

It just pissed me off that the item made it to him in less than 3 days and I paid the shipping out of a measly $29.95 sale yet the A-Hole still rated me down on shipping time.

Nah I'm not worried it just ticked me off a little because there is nothing I could have done better or faster and the entire cost of the item including free shipping was only $29.95.

Hey Don, don't let this worry you one second longer. First, the truth is that many folks are reluctant to give a "5" since that is a max score and some folks reserve that for something exceptional, memorable or something special like that. You have a 4.93 so you are doing something right. You'd need to have a whole lot more 4's before it becomes an issue. eBay does not do a good job of educating people regarding how to properly give DSR's because 5/5 seems like an extreme and an eBay novice, (or most people in fact) might believe that 4/5 is considered good.

There are so many things in life that rightfully should be stressed over. This is not. Forget about it and never look back. The buyer most likely was happy and did not believe or intend to "ding" or otherwise devalue your ratings.

No worries Norm I was over it by the time started this thread, it just reinforced that there are lots of not so nice people.
Some times just shouting once is enough and that's all this was.
