I've got a couple of boxes currently, an M70 in reasonable condition and a GF777 in not so great condition, both are good for taking out to bbqs etc... but im looking for something in really good condition to keep inside - im interested in picking up an M90 or a GF777, or even another M70. My knowledge only really extends as far as what I see ebay items going for, can anyone give me an idea of how much I should be spending on these boxes? And are all those GF777s I keep seeing coming out of china legit? Thanks

There's an M70 in mint condition on Ebay - the starting price of $499 seems to be about right for M70 in that condition.
As far as M90 - I sold my mint M90 for $800 a while back, but the price can go as high as $1000 or more.
As far as GF-777 - I personally bought mine from China a few years ago, and it's been good. As far as price - expect to pay about $500-800 for one in mint condition.
Hope this helps :-)

Vladi, you rolled the dice on one of the China 777's? Glad it worked out okay, it did didn't it? :hmmm:

Yes, mine came in good cosmetical condition, both decks working, but FM stereo didn't work. I got a partual refund and got that repaired, so it's been one of my favorite boomboxes ever since. I might even buy a second one at some point - I really like 777!

yeah that helps a lot, especially for the m90 as I hadnt seen one for sale before, didn't want to end up paying way too much if one comes up... whats up with the china 777s though? every time I search them up there seems to be a stack of em for sale from china... any reason for this?

Also bear in mind that shipping to your location could run upwards of $300 USD depending on the size and weight of a box. ;-)

Hey Neville!

if you're in Australia (an assumption based on your nickname) you'll be hard up getting an M90 domestically. There's only been one ever on .au ebay, and they were never sold in Australia, so importing is going to be the only option.

777's are reasonably common over here, but a good to pristine condition one will cost you 500-800 on .au ebay, going by recent prices.

Best of luck!

Rock On.

yeah I am in australia so expecting an additional 2 - 300 for shipping on international boxes, which by the sounds of things is the only realistic option for the M90
