LADY GAGA ARTPOP on my KABOOOOOM!!!!

Yeah, I'm sure most of you are NOT impressed, but IT'S FREAKING EPIC!!!
It's tough to play modern music on older analog equipment because of the 808 notes and super bottom end, so the Kaboom is going to deliver the best reproduction of those big bass notes.

For me, I love my 80's Metal on the M70, TRC-935 and 777.

I love my 80's pop on EVERYTHING!

I don't know if I'm impressed or not. Gonna have to see for myself, soooooooooooo...

Where's that Kaboom? And does Spotify count, it should, it's just as good as a digital download. ;-)
Be right back! :w00t:

Gang Starr on the M90...Premier's tight bass tracks sound perfect on those high-powered 8's.

Anything post 2001 gets played on the NOS TRC-975...LBS off of course...EQ set accordingly...

Actually I find older (80s early 90s) material can distort a box easier due to the better dynamics of that era. Modern stuff is sooo squashed and brickwall limited with tight peak control that it's possible to get more perceived volume without pushing the amp envelope too much. The downside of course is the overprocessed 'mush' wall of sound that dominates a lot of current music.

Can't beat a good old tape rip of a decent 12" single on an SA90 or Maxell XLIIS

Get a Telefunken and you can play all kinds of music and it sounds fantabulous!!!!

Bad Boy Bill

Except old-school hiphop like RunDMC's first album. The Telefunken sucks at tight bass. It's all "warm" bass, almost like a home theater system.
