Hello, Fellow Boomboxery Members!

As many of you know, I WON the Mystery Boombox on Ebay that Ghettoblaster for life offered this year. It is a Realistic 14-782 which looks, works, and sounds FAB! If you missed the thread, take a look. It was quite a lot of fun for old people like me. HE HE!

We talk so much about the boxes we want, but what are we listening to? I just picked up the first cassette tapes I've bought in YEARS! Here they are. BTW, you might want to... um.... clean your heads. I sure did! Thank God for Youtube, it's been a while.

Using my Pioneer SK-757 right now as an 'off air' monitor for my FM broadcast tonight to the population

Been funk and soul, now mixing it up drum and bass and later in the night deep mellow house grooves.

I have been listening to ALL kinds of stuff from Jerry Reed to Slayer!

It's cool your playing cassettes. I have a HUGE cassette collection that is only getting bigger. I just got a 12 cassette box set from a friend this past weekend. It's all Classical music...really nice!

OK, I'm reviving this post, because I have my M70 here and can't believe it. :-D

I'm RIGHT NOW playing Police's Album, Ghost in the Machine.

What about YOU?

I like the way old house music comes through the speakers of my boombox

Chicago house sounds particularly nice.. Marshall Jefferson/ Frankie Knuckles/Steve silk Hurley/ Farley jackmaster Funk

Italian House also sounds great... Piano sounds real nice, high hats are clear and toppy & the bass is awesome

Currently listening to a lot of Mitch Murder. He's one of my favourite synth acts, LOVE recording his gear to tape and cranking it on the Taira M90 on the walks to and from work.

I put some tape over the one on the BigBen and not had the issue, but I'm yet to be certain.
Done the same to the Taira M90, but not taken her to work since I put the tape on as the weather hasn't been dry enough
to risk taking her.

I'll post as soon as I know, one way or the other. I'll give it another week or so of thorough testing!

Rock On.

My husband, Dave, hooked our hard drive up to the M70 and we're having random funk night.

So... what song's on, now?

"In the Navy" by the Village People.

HA HA!!!
