Heading off the to the 80's rewind festival on Wednesday (three days of 80's bands, especially looking forward to Human League, and Heaven 17).

However, will need some tunes for the camping site, so question is what boombox is the average Joe's 80's icon.. Coz I need to take one with me of course...

Thinking of my Hitachi 8200, Akai 955, or Gf767.....

But open to suggestions..

Leaning towards the 8200 as its big, looks mean and is quite cheap (it is Scotland and the chance of rain is high).

Guys..

you are setting the bar very high...

Would you trust your Conion at a 3 day outdoor festival, with drink and people, and drink, and lots of drink :-D

If the Answer is yes then can I borrow yours to take with me... Promise I will look after it, promise, promise .... ;-)

HEAVEN 17??? Can you record them singing "Let me go" when they perform it? As for the radio I wouldn't want to take any if you think it's going to rain. I'd hate to hear a sad story when the event is over. Whatever you decide to do enjoy it because those guys can rock the casbar like nobodies business.

Whichever you decide, make sure you bring a plastic garbage bag big enough to protect it in case of rain.
How about an M-70 very portable and doesn't eat batteries!
