What does Music mean to you?

Just curious what everyone uses Music for. Anyone have a career in music? Are you in a band? Do you use it at a park, or inspiration for artistic work?

To start this off, I use music to stay awake :lol:

Working late at night, a good band is sometimes the only thing left keeping me going :-)

Todays music to me is all about the beat. Not necessarily what they are saying but how it sounds coming out of the stereo I am listening to it on.

Older music is about having a second in your life that takes you back and reminds you of the yester years.


Great way for people to express how they are feeling.

The 80's hip hop electro music I listen to means I get to remember all the dance offs I had with my crew and the moves we used to bust out against each other. It means remembering travelling between meets with a small boombox on the buses, carry folded up cardboard and lino around and doing battles in the streets. Gives good memories and the music is still #1 !!
