NIce. Which one sounded the most precise & detailed?
there was a few jvc, sansui, natanal, coion, sharp, telly
no real winner on sound quality just a winner on loudness conion c100

Wha?!?!? I know the Conion won't win a clarity contest, but I could have sworn I saw plenty of boxes that had "real" power that should've and would've sunk the Conion for sheer volume...i.e. the PC-55.

WHAT A DAY - my ears a dead

I can't imagine that chair would help, looks like the sound would bounce around all day in that!

Nice collection for your retirement fund!

I would have to say the M90. Very clear and very precise

Next would be the Telefunken for quality, and a kind of 'warmth' to the sound.

Here also are a couple of interesting things Shane and i noted....

Firstly, i have never been a fan of using the FM transmitter for your Ipod. It always seems
to me as though you lose some quality in the playback from your boombox
But in some cases it may be required, say if when you lack a line-in or the correct adaption
for line-in.
This was the case for the Telefunken. So we used Shanes FM transmitter and as Shane and i both noted
at the time, it sounded fantastic :w00t: Easily the best playback sound using this method.that i have heard

Also we where trying out Shanes decibel/sound meter on many of the radios.
Firstly we would try for peak level at almost touching point of the boombox at nearly full sound,
then we would step back about a meter to see the change.
As you may expect the peak level would drop on all radios...... except the M90 :w00t:
Now im not an expert on this kind of thing and would love to hear opinions but talk about some
good directional sound flow from JVC
Also if you have an M90 and havent tried this yet, sit directly in front of your radio and turn it up nice
and loud, say about 7 on the control and then place your hand in front of the tweeter about 5 or 10 cm away.
Then remove it again and repeat a few times.
The change in the sound amazed me and none of my other radios that i did this with have been as direct.
If nothing else its fun to try

Up until recently i have never even really worried about doing comparisons on my radios, im still not that fazed about
which is louder, which is nicer, which is better etc etc etc. I like them all :-D but...... if you want a Blaster, the C100 has it !!
We put it against the 5350, Telefunken and even both of my PC-55's plus a range of others and honestly the way i see it is,
if you want a serious in your face loud a$$ Blaster you have to get a C100   . Well thats how we seen it on the day
anyway

I use a DIN-to3.5 cable to connect my Telefunken
