Well my day is starting out just great.... :-/
I worked last night 6pm to 6 am this morning.
My wife works from 7 am to 7 pm tonight.
So anyways she goes out to get in her car then I hear the front door open and she's crying. :'-(
I think,"Oh great now WTF??????
She tells me someone broke the back window of her almost new 2011 Dodge Caliber...... :dunce: :annoyed:
GRRRRRRR,at first I though someone broke it from the outside ,vandalism etc....... :bang: :nugget:
I didn't find anything stolen or broken besides the window and no rock or objects that were thrown either..... :hmmm:
But upon further inspection from me and Baraboo's finest I think it might have blown out in the middle of the night.
All 4 corners of the window are broken like the middle of the window were bent outwards......
Any thoughts? :hmmm:
Any how a new back glass is coming and will be installed tomorrow.
State farm ROCKS!
Good thing I haven't got a insurance deductible........ :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
Screw it I'm join to bed........ |-) |-) |-)

I did that with my 18inch Kicker solo X's and about 8000 watts!
That's some pressure that car made. Glad it'll be fixed!

Sorry to hear about that Scott.

ago and never knew why! I was driving at the time! :hmmm:

Tried calling you yesterday, went through Wisconsin yesterday.

Have a better week man! :-)

yes thats what it looks like a bad glass probably not tempered enough in the manufacturing process.. it happens hot and cold vibration all doing it process until it can no longer hold together and exactly thats what happens it comes apart ,,it does suck but hopefully the insurance can take care of that with no harm done... :-)

That is sad!

I've seen this happening when people try to fix the cut/break on the heater element of the rear glass. Basically resistance somehow builds up high and that area gets so hot, then uneven expansion shatters the glass.

Hope Skippy didn't try to fix a broken heater element.. :-D :-D

State Farm is Great! Auto Glass insurance coverage is an additional ~$20/yr. Damn rocks on the road already shattered my Infiniti's glass 2 times already. We have some excellent auto glass repair guys in Naperville. They did a super job every time. I trust those guys!

Definitely a strange event. Let us know if you ever figure out what caused this blowout... heating element, manufacturing defect, pressure from the outside, etc. Maybe the glass replacement guy will have an idea when he sees it.

Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Thankfully!
