Oi there. :-D
My cousin had a Sanyo M9990 when we were kids. I quickly developed an unnatural love for it. All those lights and buttons. The mechanical sound meters that delicately danced and danced in their dimly lit windows. Not too big, Not too small. That unique quartz clock with an alarm and sleep timer. And those voluptuously ample chrome plated speaker dust covers resting firmly in the center of the cones. There was just something SO sexy about that larger cup size that I could never quite put my finger on. Eh-HEM,....er-umm, I digress. Where was I? Sanyo. Right.
As I recall, that box really packed a nice quality punch. Can any of you tell me if my memory is serving me properly? Did the M9990 really sound that good or is my memory just becoming more and more romanticized over the years?

Oh by the way, I just saw an original instruction manual for it in eBay for about $10. I imagine you'll be wanting one of those.
