Hey all, I've just started collecting boomboxes in the past few months and am really getting into the old equipment. I was a kid in the late 70s when boomboxes first started to appear and I got hooked then on the style and sounds. Now I'm finally working towards getting some of the pieces I always liked. I've got a few nice items so far, and am stoked to have just picked up a nice GE 3-5259A this morning. It needs a bit of loving and a few parts but it was an amazing price. Can't wait to get started on bringing it back to life. Anyway, I'm in the LA area so hopefully I'll have a chance to meet up with some of you face to face and compare boomboxes. Glad to be here!
