Hi everyone-Here's my 2nd. annual boombox review.
This week it's the Sanyo M9935K.
This is a really nice smaller mid-size box.
It's a 4 band because it's a K model.
The tuner is real strong on this and the sound is quite good.
The cassette section is quite good and has 2 built in microphones on the front of the box.
The mids & the highs are great for a box with just tone.
I really like the looks of the boombox.
It has an automatic loudness until you get past 4 in the volume.
The only drawback on this boomer is the lack on line-in jacks and lacking a little in the bass department.
I'd have to say that it almost makes up for it with great mids and highs0the tone control is really good in extremes.
I do like the led tuning lights and the stereo light on this.
It does have AMSS for searching the tapes to!
I'm liking this box alot for it's size!!
Have a great weekend-GB. :-) :surf: :breakdance: :choco: :stereo:

I hate to revive a old thread with a random question, but what would you guys pay for one that is "near mint" or "mint" that you could locally pick up?..... :-)

Do you mean that guy in Appleton? :hmmm:
I think that Sanyo M9935K is worth the money that guy is asking . I just don't feel like driving up to get it....... :dunce:

Yep, that guy. $75 just seems like too much for me for some reason. Even though his is very nice, it's $75 out of my pocket. He is pretty firm on the price from talking with him..... From what I have read, it seems to be a great everyday boomer but with little features and the bass isn't real good....

Yes ,I agree.
I've had a couple of M9935K's and it is a great box.
But I think $75.00 is a "top shelf" price for one.
I figured by my time and gas to get it,it might not be such a great deal...... :hmmm:

For me, $75 the boombox would have to be pretty darn mint and in complete, 100% working order. ;-)

:agree: I think $75 is pushing it for this model but it's by no means a bad deal if the box is Minty and you like it.

I guess for $75 it should make me all tingly inside to really want it, but it doesn't. After christmas, if he still has it, I will offer him $50 again....

Good thinkin' Blu.
For $75 I could hve got a Fisher 480 locally, and to be honest, I'm not sure why I passed it up, deck didnt work and it was filthy, but I'm sure I could have fixed it. It was in the spring this year, maybe I'll dig up the old email and see if he still has it. :hmmm:
