There is a virus mail you might receive in your inbox from ebay

it will tell you that:

"We regret to inform you that we were unable to process your most recent payment.
Per our user agreement, Section 8, we are forced to terminate any account
if we have reasons to believe that it may cause financial loss to us
or to our users.
You are now required to verify your account details.

To proceed please click the link below.

Click Here to Confirm your Details"

I have tried to copy what my wife sent me from work but it's not working right

Just wanted to warn all - cos it won't be fun when it burns a hole in your machine and your account is empty - so just be carefull at the mo

cheers B

Good call, but this is a prime example of the kind of email that you should never act upon, NEVER EVER 'confirm your details' by email request. I try and drill this ethos into our customers at work on an almost daily basis :sadno: The number of people who tell me they have paid for fake 'antivirus' is scary :-O

The trouble is peeps are not always clued up on this type of thing - my wife might just click on it to see what it is about and my father-in-law might think that he hasn't given the right info when setting up ebay and just click on it and send it all off, think that he had done right

i'm not techy and not always sure if i'm doing the right thing - of course i know most scams but thee are some very clever ways to depart you and your money :nonono:

please tell other sites you visit and warn them

cheers B :ninja:

Also be careful with Adobe there has been some reports about it. So don't be so quik to click when getting one of those little icons or boxes telling you theres an update. Preferably go to your desktop Adobe and confirm if you have all the updates. Theres some adware Trojans out there!
