Hey there! I've seen many options on ebay...if you can change your own belts or know someone/ a shop you may score a deal. Otherwise, you will shell out what they want. Ive seen some that look/work great for lower prices, and some that dont and are in worse shape for more. I love mine i would say its 9 or 9.5/10. I picked it up for $800 and the seller even did a small repair that I pointed out after receiving it, for free.

When it comes to changing belts, the M70 is probably the easiest boombox to work on. Like Audio Augie suggested, perhaps look for one that needs belts, and hopefully get a better deal.

£800? Basically boxes in the US are now double what they are in Europe.

The US boxes have the Aux In, while for most models including m70, the Europe versions have Din In - which I'm not sure can work just with a cable adaptor if you want to plug in your phone / laptop / sound card. The Japanese boxes can be imported for a lower overall price but they have FM only up to 90Hz. So I'd say the US version is the best; and they say the Canadian ones are even better because somehow they are a bit louder (if volume is the goal)... In Europe, currently prices are roughly the same as the US for this model but it depends on the condition.
