i posted a local wanted ad for boomboxes less than a week ago... my first wanted ad ive ever posted..

a lady emailed saying she had a portable cassette player she thought i would be interested in... she said she had it for 20 years in storage.. i asked her the model number and after several days she responded... im familiar with that model i say... her apartment complex was literally right across the street from my work... so less than 20 minutes later im driving back with this:

it is a bit dirty and needs new speakers and some cosmetic work... but im happy

i just took took it home and fired it up. it was barely audible and i thought i was going to have some issues. i sprayed the volume knob with contact spray, gave it a few spins and its super loud as it should be. sounds great considering one of the speakers has completely rotted away.

i wish i could describe how dirty this thing is... you cannot tell from that photo... with all the tape on the back and the grime on the front it looks half mummy half swamp thing.. my face when she brought it out was the perfect mix between and
