walkman noise floor

hey there people,

does anybody know which kind of walkmans have the lowest noise floor? i have a couple of sony's and they are horrible. really hissy!
are there any better ones i should look out for?

Firstly, i have noticed over the years, and often thought it strange, how it is much
easier to find really nice boomboxes than it is to find some really nice walkmans

I dont know why but i just very rarely find them for sale in the wild, so i can only say
good luck finding a nice one. Perhaps you will have more luck than me

And secondly, on a broad scale, i have always thought Aiwa walkmans to be, and
sound, much nicer than any other brand

I love it when i actually do find a nice walkman in the wild, i love it even more when
its a very nice Awia

Hi AZA,
The sony's that i won were both found in op shops. one of them was brand new still in it's box.
Maybe it's because walkmans are small that they are more easily disposable as opposed to boxes?
i must keep my eyes peeled for an aiwa!

Try and demagnetize... This may help
