So I have come leagues ahead with my VZ2000 and finally got the record turning and playing well. 
Didn't even know these beauties existed until picking one up at a Garage sale.
When it first spun I was so happy! Been working on this for months. While they are great systems, this being my first box project, it has been a rocky road.
So now I have the radio going, the LP and the cassette all ironed out too, I am still left with a very faint, almost mute left channel.
I tried following the wires and resoldering/clearing up any solder spots, cleaned the INT/EXT switch and board and tried an external speaker, but still very very faint.
The speaker hisses and sounds healthy, and seems to pop if I alter the 'treble/bass' sliders, but the BAL gives me next to nothing when all the way left.
Have been listening to vinyl on it all day anyway, but some help to get it full functioning would be excellent! Any tips much appreciated!
