what is with these models and the door not opening. I have one that the TT door wont open and most I have seen have the same issue. Is it an IC?

I know its a mechanical switch on the 2000.......have you had it apart to check? or is it just a touch button and not a press button if you know what i mean....

seems to be a main problem. Same on my VZ3000....

The door is a bit of a pain, my 3000 wouldn't open either.

You need to make sure it's powered up and manually ease the door open after you press the Open button.
Got to do it slowly with as little force as possible.

Once the mechanism kicks in it'll open fine. The reason for the complexity is so you can also press the button to close the door after putting a record in.

So it's all very automated and futuristic!

there is a manual door override as well. you stick a piece of dowel in the back, mine came with the dowel attached.
