Having an issue with the solenoids for the turntable needles locking and staying engaged as soon as the machine is powered up. Both the side A and side B solenoids engage and stay this way. The turntable will not work at all. I have tested a ton of voltages and everything seems good. I have tested all of the transistors on the turntable pcb and they are all fine. I did change out Q524 because I thought it could be bad, but it made no difference. The radio plays (after disassembly of the balance slider and glued the metal bits to the plastic slider) and the tape plays also.
All of the belts have been changed prior to me getting this machine. They all appear fine. All of the "kill" switches have been checked and also appear to be fine.
I am leaning towards a bad IC. Wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this issue.
