First time posting, so hello and pls be gentle. Basically just got a VZ2000 and all appeared to be working, except now I've had a proper play with it, both side of the record deck are playing slow.....is this a common problem and what would be the cause? Any help or info would be great. Thanks!

Depends how long its been stored, my VZ was playing slow at first then it sorted it self out......plays ok now. It could be the belt, so read my posts on how to strip the VZ down......you only have to take out the record unit to swap the belt.

Hi there, I've had the same trouble with my new VZ-2000. changed out all the belts and then the turntable ran slower than a wet week.

all you have to do is adjust the speed of the motor with the two tiny trim pots on the circuit board behind the turntable.

undo the two screws to remove the turntable from the unit, pop the turntable out and lean it towards you, then adjust the two trim pots which should be almost in the center of the board. the one closest to you is for the 45rpm the lower one for 33's. you will need a record in and playing to adjust it to your liking. then simply reassemble and Rock On!!!!! :breakdance:

Yep, sure is. One of only 5 in South Australia. I know this isn't a car forum, (lord knows I'm on enough of them haha) but I thought the VZ2000 and the D go hand in hand for 80's awesomeness....
