Hi All

Was switching across to my FM ST. radio the other day and the button decided to push in to the cabinet.

It is still hiding there on view, but only just!

Can anyone inform me if it is an easy fix?

Or how to attempt to repair?

Does this mean its hiding a bigger fault internally?

Hope someone with experience can guide me through!

Cheers

It is not difficult to open up and fix the problem. After all one should learn how to open the unit.

There is step by step instructions available here to open VZ2000.

Don't attempt to put anything in to pull the switch out.
Let me look for the instructions on opening it.

Please be very careful! Especially when you handle the cassette door and tray! Be patient and use foam or micro fiber cloth not to scratch parts.

JVC Floyd, appreciate the offer, any chance I can get switch tips off you as spares?

Actually also need to replace a couple of the sliders too, the longer of the two. BALANCE and REC LEVEL LEFT. They just sitting in place. Unless there's a way to repair them?

All the best!
