Hi I am new to the forum and I just got my first vintage boombox a Lasonic TRC-931. It arrived today and opon inspection I noticed that only on speaker was playing. I then noticed that if I put a little pressure by pushing on the volume knob the other speaker would play just fine. I tried taking the box appart to see if it was anything obvious but Im not familiar with electrical so I couldn't find anything. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Johnnie

Also looking for a Mic Volume Knob...

Right off the top of my head, I would suggest going through all the controls with DeOxit cleaner. There could be some dust / dirt in there preventing contact.

Bill had that exact same issue with his volume control. I rebuilt it for him. The feelers inside were detached, just like the ones on those pesky JVC sliders. So no amount of deoxit will fix that short of replacing or repairing that control.

Does anyone else notice all the problems with quality that Lasonic seems to have? :-/
