While on my travels in Illinois I was looking for Blasters in some thrift stores and I found this original vinyl of LOUDNESS' "Thunder In The East" from 1985. A true classic. I had to get it. Only $4.00

DUDE, I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE LOUDNESS FAN :-D   RIP Munetaka Higuchi

We had an exchange student when I was in junior high. I had just recently bought THAT Loudness album, so I was all like hey you gotta check out this band they ROCK!! She of course had heard of them, but instead tried to get me hooked on E-Z-O (let me dupe her tape I still have it).

Since then I have bought lots of their other albums love most of it, not so much the stuff with singer Mike Vescera, although I like his stuff with Yngwie and Obsession -> which reminds me, have you heard the old Obsession albums? Sweet stuff too. Ahhhh Marshal stacks.

New Loudness stuff is awesome too. heavy heavy, and remakes of that old stuff from the album Rockshocks is sick too.

My favorite Loudness song? Ashes in the sky (shadows of war).

Sorry to throw this down in such a hurry I gotta be somewhere, just had to Chime in on one of my fav's

Peace

Wow man....I know every word you just said....I'm very well versed in Loudness' career. Not sure I have ever met anyone that knows as much as me! That is kick ass!

These guys are amazing and the new stuff shreds. KING OF PAIN F'n Kills!

They came through LA last year and I couldn't make it to the show. I had my own show some where else. :'-( Never seen them before.

Yes, RIP Munetaka Higuchi....I love the old stuff, but the new drummer has helped modernize the band....I really love the new stuff....I just got 2-0-1-2.

Yeah man, Thunder In The East to me is their opus. Crazy Nights will always make me pump a fist in the air....

I used to have a mix tape in high school that had Loudness - Crazy Nights, Accept - Balls to the Wall, Night Ranger - Don't Tell Me You Love Me, Krokus - Long Stick Goes Boom, Helix - Rock You, Warrior - For The Earth Fighting along with Twisted Sister - You Can't Stop Rock n Roll on it to name a few....total rotation cassette!

That was a good time for Metal :chris920:

:agree: The new stuff makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Deeper and tougher I love it and yes the new drummer he plays some lightning doubles. One of the comments on YouTube said it reminds them of Painkiller -> I can see why he has a similar kick style to Scott Travis at times. Man he is one sick ass drummer too.

That sounds like a fantastic mix-tape. Early sister again heavy stuff. Accept is in my top 5 classic metal bands of all times too, damn. I still remember when my uncle brought Restless and Wild to Christmas waaaay back I think I was 11 or 12. The whole family got a kick out of the beginning (hi dee hi do hi duh...) that was a pivotal metal moment for me I was hooked.

Yeah, the beginning of Fast as a Shark, killer stuff....Yeah, the new drummer has that Travis style, racing double kicks...

The first time I heard Twisted Sister, before MTV got a hold of them, I thought they were the heaviest thing ever.

Loved that stuff from 80-83
