yes this is one of the best "merging" of old tech to "digi" tech.
i feel a bit jealous cause my version of a digital upgrade was
tearing apart a 5$ mp3 player and hooking it up to the to the preamp.
The touch screen is epic no argument on that!
although i am not sure that having a touch screen on a Boom box is practical,
It looks like it very sensitive and not very good when moving it around places (not to mention the beach)
a metal mesh could protect the screen from unwanted poking -Hmmm .
As for the outputs i would have put them on the back, but as i can see in the photos the whole inside of the back
is covered with the PCB board.
So in this case the "crazy moder" did the best he could do with the Box he has and total gained my respect.

This is what I want to do...maybe with an android tablet or even a built in iPod Touch or something. Then have it accept streaming audio from around the house or my iPhone!

Nice! I'm trying to find a Philips Super Tandem with red accents like the one I had growing up that got destroyed in a fire so I can add an iPod mount to it. I'll post the pic if I find one and can do it!
