A Guy named Robert Culver RDCULVER5109@gmail.com has cheated so many people already and I also got ripped off.
He will post expensive audio gear for a lower price and trap people. He will act very nice and all and beg you to make the payment selection "friends and family".
Once he receive the payment he vanishes.

I was inquiring what is happening with the shipment and didn't get any reply for the past 10 days. Then I saw an alert on craigslist saying this guy is a scammer and cheated so many people over the years.

Here is a new one he put.

I didn't know this guy was a crook after 24 hours of payment. He was saying that he will pack and insure for $750, put fragile label on it ans all. Later for a few days it was total silence. When I contacted him his story changed, saying he was late to go to FedEx when his wife took him to Walmart to buy toilet paper and downy and all. He will ship it the next morning. After that again he played games..... then disappeared completely.

Friends and Family the OP might be SOL. Report it locally to your PD, they have an Internet fraud unit (sure they share a common database with other PD's). GL BBLover!

I tried to contact paypal spend enough time and they won't help if it is not vial paypal credit. I will go to the local police department like you suggested and report.
This bad guy should not cheat more people like this. He is very convincing in his messages and appear to be a honest guy. I flagged his Pioneer sale ad. He then deleted it. Now he might change his location and do the same thing over and over.

Unfortunately, as the scammer knows, you bypass all paypal safeties by sending Friends and Family..

Anyone who happens upon this - Do not use friends and family for purchases.. full stop. If someones trying to insist you do so, walk away.

OP .. did you draw from a bank account or use a credit card? may be able to do a chargeback through your CC .. but be aware this will piss paypal off.

Well, we are sorry to hear that someone got your money BBXlover. Being in the collecting world for so long we all know that friend/family payments are way too risky to chance it. Everyone here, please send paypal payments to correct way when purchasing items so this doesn't happen again.
