other than the gf 777 series--
front grills dont just pop off --right
so- asking if you guys have ever sucked out the dust -
thru the front grills -
and without bending your grills or popping your caps
or tearing your foams or ripping your woofs

I once vacuumed the woofers of my Crown 850 to glue a small bit at the side afterwards
I was a newbie back then and would never do that again.
Other than that, I tried vacuuming out the dust through the grills before but it does not work that good.
My suggestion: Take it apart and give it a good clean. It should last for a while .
ok --thanks for the warnings

actually --when the bass is booming --
and the dust balls are all blowing around in there.................
it looks animated and cool
so -- that could be yet another dimension for you custom maker dudes.....
ie --pop some colorful ping-pong balls behind the grills = LOTTO BOX !!!
I have used the cans of compressed air with, and without straw, before with good results. Just be sure to blow pretty much from the side - definitely not straight in.
Speaking of canned air with straws, I was using one and the straw shot off and stabbed through one of the woofers! Poked a hole in it! Didn't really hurt the speaker but, you know.
