Anybody here have or know anything about the "Sigma" brand? There's one for sale at a local thrift. It's a three-piece, dual cassette, 3-band; the shortwave is a weird frequency, like 12-17 mHz. It looks very 80s, but might be all show, you know?

No way to test in the store. No country of origin on it; it looks too new (or hardly ever used) to be really from the 80s, so I suspect a more recent Chinese version of an 80s-style box, like the new Lasonics.

If you guys give it a thumbs up, I'll pick it up tomorrow, if it's still there.

I bought it today, along with a nice Panasonic which I'll describe in a separate post, for U.S. $15. each.

The Sigma radio sounds great; not so much bass but loud enough. Tape decks play but slightly fast. I haven't tried to record yet. This looks so new, I really think someone bought it new 20 years ago, put it in a closet and never played it. It takes 10 "D" s.

Stranj, sorry but I don't have a clue how to upload photos to the Forum. I'll get some up as soon as I figure out how.

Hi radiodayz, how may I be of help?

When you reply any message, right under it says: "Upload To TinyPic" and under that it says: "File" "Choose File" "Resize" and finally "UPLOAD NOW!"

You need to click on "File" and choose the pic you wanna upload, then Resize to (I like) 640x480, then click on "UPLOAD NOW!" wait a few seconds and there you have it!

If you have any more questions regarding uploading, ask Fatdog! Hahahahaha... jk bro, ask me! ;-)
