Repair & Restore posted previously...........This is about performance & sound!!

The extremely well built & strong performer that is the Hitachi TRK-9100E

Considering so many Hitachi models both one piece & 3 piecers sounded pretty duff despite being built really well - The TRK-8290E for example! It looks beautiful & they will last another 30 years once rebelted! However, they lack power & bass which is such a shame

In 1984 Hitachi seemed to address this issue with the arrival of the TRK-9100E - It certainly has the looks & a solid build, the real difference are the speakers & power amplifier & this stereo delivers on power & sound quality!

Bought in January this year for £25.00 it arrived very dirty & with a broken tape deck but after a service, new belts & a bath for all the main & speaker cabinets, it came up like new! I never expected it to be this nice!

I bought it because I remember way back in 1984 just how different these were to the previous range of the early 1980's - I had forgotten how powerful & loud they were so I have to say I am proud to own such a beautiful example of a true classic 3 piece Hitachi!!

Let the images & video do the talking now...........

I heard one of these before and was underwhelmed, pretty average. There’s been one for sale in a house clearance shop in West Norwood South London for a couple of years now. Think the guy wants £30 for it.

Yours looks in good shape though.

These are loud & powerful, nothing like the usual Hitachi fodder! Speakers are good & very heavy! It's a great stereo if in nice shape
