Hey terry,

I've got a dished gf8585 too. It's in pretty similar nick to yours but couldn't pass it up for $20 though.

I am liking the look of that toshiba however :-) :-) :-)

I never knew Toshiba had that boombox. I've always seen them badged as Kings Point, Ken-Tech, and Blue Star.

Didn't realize Toshiba put their label on that box, it typically has an array of off brand names on it but not major manufacturer names. :hmmm:

by the looks of it i would guess that toshiba came out with that box first then everyone else as a rebage,, there are a lot of rebaged box mostly from toshiba, sanyo and a few others,, :w00t: :-)

The Toshiba is a Japanese box, all Japanese writing on the controls. Maybe marketed as Bombeat in Japan only? It needs amplifier repair.

The Sharp is "rampaged" :'-(

Maybe a good base for a custom? :yes:

And this is my parts box for my Kings Point (Tisonic) :-D These are real nice boxes, :cool: they are fairly large and sound pretty damn good. :thumbsup: They are very easy to work on... This is just another one of those bbx's that dont get enough recognition it so deserves :hmmm: Now we come to find out Toshiba has there name on it :cool:
