OK, I just can't hold back. I'm very excited! I have 2 boxes coming today from member TRC-911. We have been working on a transaction for a little while and according to the UPS tracking site, it is "Out For Delivery".

Of course I'll beat up the driver if the box they are in shows up looking like an elephant sat on it like when my 920 showed up! (SEE BELOW) And to answer that nagging question...yes I spent 3 days rebuilding it from scratch! Damn UPS! I know there are good people who work there, but they must have a wood chipper some where on the conveyor belt line!

But aside from that, the boxes I am excited to get are these:
GPX 990....A little rough, but well in the "Tear Down, Clean Up" arena!

And the Lasonic TRC-918 (What can I say....I'm a Lasonic Fan. Oh and to answer THAT nagging question....YES one day I will have every model Lasonic Makes :-D  :-D )

I have to admit Ira that I love the 918 even with the missing parts, if I spend a little more time with it maybe I won't notice anything wrong at all. :-D

I predict TRC-920 will like his too.

They made in in one piece (the obvious possible nightmare in this sport)
I have to say that Chris (TRC-911) is a shipping Super Star! Thank you brother...I really mean that!

OK EVERYONE....IN CASE YOU WERE EVER WONDERING HOW TO SHIP BOOM BOXES...YOUR GOING TO GET A LESSON RIGHT NOW...
(and I will use pictures so EVERYONE can understand)

First, UPS actually got it to my house with out pulverizing the box!
Notice Chris (TRC-911) used a quality heavy duty shipping box.

Inside the box is plenty of Styrofoam Peanuts. Normally I HATE these F'n things, but today I LOVED them!

Under the top layer of Peanuts we see the first boom box. The Lasonic TRC-918
How cool is it that Chris marked the package inside. It was also marked "Top" & "Bottom".

Both boxes had cardboard on the front and back on the outside of the bubble wrap.

As well as having cardboard on the top and bottom.
He used 2 inches of bubble wrap padding all the way around.

More Peanuts....and another Boom Box! YEAH!

So gentlemen, that's how you package and ship boom boxes!

There is no doubt Chris aka TRC-911 is the Super Star of shipping :super: . And I want to thank him for working with me on the acquisition of these boxes. I'm hoping to acquire more of his fine products.

Now I have to go do the full tear down and clean as both of these are in need of a few things and I am looking forward to the fun of it all.

Thanks again Chris...
