I picked up the Sharp mini because I thought the double cassette mechanism was unique, for me anyway. I'd never seen one. Brought it home and was pleasantly surprised at the sound of this little guy. This sucker has some weight to it and it gets loud. Sadly the foam on both speakers were rotted so I installed some cheapo Pile speakers, blue in color to match. Was not impressed with these speakers, the highs are ok but even the blown original speakers have better bass. For now they'll stay but I plan on refoaming the originals.
Next up is this Sanyo twin cassette mini I picked up on Ebay recently. I actually thought this was going to be some double cassette walkman with detachable speakers I'd never seen before (double deck walkmans are all the rave) but it turned out to be more of a mini mini boombox. I think it qualifies, has the telescopic antenna and a carry handle. One of the speakers detaches and has a short extension while the other does not, just rotates to allow for the removal of the batteries. This has got to be the smallest double cassette boomboxes ever at just 91/2" long x 4" tall x 3" deep.
Check out the cool graphics...
