I just received the final piece to complete the BIG Fisher PH series. The PH490, with those sinister looking 'Black Hole' woofers. I can now begin the restoration on it. This is a heavy hitter for sure. Thanks James (JustCruisin).

480 seems to have deeper bass but probably due to the 492/490 having graphic EQ which brings out more highs

Although I retested the 492 out again (still impressive with the power & bass) the 480, w/o EQ has a "slight" punchier bass. Partly due to it's Super Bass button. These are beasts. as powerful and loud as the Conion C100F.

Well Jr. Since I have both the 492 and the C100 I believe I could do a test but it stinks because I won't win nothin

And since you have both units in question that means its not louder than the C-100f or you would have said so by now.

Trust Me Boogie, I've had owned the Clairtone C100F and the Fisher 492 at the same time. Both are just as powerful and a very good match up. I've never the M90 cranked up past #3. Sinister was not able to w/o pissing off his neighbors when I was visiting Him. Maybe Bill could do a rematch from His collection to confirm. Bill?......

M90 is ok. Got rid of mine because I just wasn't impressed, it was just boring. (go ahead and boo me now ) You love your Fisher's like I love my Conion's I'll trade all my boomers for a wall of Conion's and not just the C-100f's either. I love them all!! As a NY'er I like my stuff loud in the sound department and looks as well so my Conion's fit the bill just nicely.
