my buddy tj did it again , found 2 boomboxes on his trash route , the other is a newer box so i won't bother taking pic's but it sounds pretty nice .

the other is this virtually perfect toshiba rt 80 -s in perfect working order and only missing the antenna tip she souns nice and loud for such a tiny box this thing rocks! .

this is the 11th box that came from the trash .

Great find!
And a little fun fact- that's the same box used in 'Purple Rain' when Prince is writing a song!
Good little excuse to watch that movie again!

I too found a toshiba in the garbage but it's nowhere near as nice as that!

Ha! I have that same box, not gonna lie.. I've contemplated throwing mine in the trash as well.. :blush:
Everything did work on it, but the belt broke recently.. Only reason I'm keeping it, is to try and fit some high-powered internals into the tiny shell.. we'll see :hmmm:

man this is by far the easiest box in the world to change the belt on ,it only takes 5 minutes and is only one small belt and 4 screws on the front case and the whole deck pops out by disconnecting 2 plugs ,almost too easy , i hope you fix it up .

Great recue. It didn't need to go out like that. That can be cleaned up and donated to a group home, Nursing home elementary school, etc. A nice shop radio too.
